You can avoid the highway toll if you take the expressway via Traunstein – Siegsdorf – Inzell – Lofer – Zell am See – and then take the expressway near Bruck on the Großglockner Highway. Since summer 2025, our access route has been via a new bridge leading to the expressway from Bruck, heading toward Gries Süd and following the Tauern Cycle Route. In Gries, turn onto Drei Brüderweg and follow the road for about 1.7 km. There is a signpost for Pension Wiesfleck at every intersection.
via the Tauern motorway
Drive through Gries and past St. Georgen. After St. Georgen, turn right onto the Gries Süd exit, then take the Tauern Cycle Path back to Gries, turn onto the Drei Brüder Weg, and follow the road.
via the Inntal motorway
Take the Bruck bypass to the Gries Süd exit, following the Tauern Cycle Route. In Gries, turn onto Drei Brüderweg and follow the road for about 1.7 km. There is a sign pointing to Pension Wiesfleck at every intersection.

From Germany via Munich
Alternative route via "kleines Deutsches Eck" - Bad Reichenhall (D) - Schneizlreuth (D) - Lofer (A) and on towards Saalfelden / Zell am See.
From eastern Austria
Alternative route via A9 - Liezen - Ennstal Bundesstraße in the direction of Radstadt/Altenmarkt.
From Germany via Passau
Alternative route via Linz - Voralpenkreuz - A9 motorway - Liezen - Ennstal Bundesstraße towards Radstadt/Altenmarkt.
By train
Take the train to Zell am See station and from there take the bus to Gries or the regional train directly to Gries.
It is advisable to hire a car as our location makes it difficult to use public transport.
If you arrive by public transport you will receive a small gift from us as a reward.
With the Salzburg Mobility Ticket, you can ride all public transportation throughout the state of Salzburg for free. So it’s definitely worth leaving the car at home and taking the train to Salzburg, for example.
